First Blog Post
15 May
Writing your first blog post (on a new website) is a unique experience. Chances are no one will ever read it, because, frankly, no one cares. It is more about what have you done for me lately, rather than what you did before I got here.
So, I write my post with the excitement any business owner has when starting a new adventure. A mixture of anxiety, excitement, trepidation, and a slew of other words that roughly mean, let’s get this party started!
I am proud to be launching my new Online Strategy Consulting business, because after all, what else am I better suited to do? I have been building businesses since my lemonade stand as a kid, and helping companies increase profits for years. So, what better extension is there for me than to branch out my consulting effort into what I enjoy most, the online business world. Search Engine Optimization, Email Marketing, Social Media are all like giving me candy. I just cannot get enough of the sweet goodness.
To be honest, I could not have gotten here without the help of so many others. So, I wanted to take a moment to give credit where credit is due; by thanking all the companies that have helped me prepare to be where I am today:
- Hakuna Staff Scheduling Software – For reminding me of the challenges of starting your own business.
- Black Rock Charters – For showing me that with dedication and focus, you can achieve top search engine rankings.
- Mount Vernon Vision Source – Helping to guide me onto a path where I know I want to be!
- Bellingham Copywriters – Because where is any business without good copy?
- Net Solutions NA – For believing in my potential, before I even showed I could start a computer.
- Emerging Designs – For keeping an eye on the little guys, and helping out at every turn.
Last but certainly not least, I thank my wife, children and my parents, for helping guide me down a path on which I belong. It is the forces inside each of you that encourages me to continue, and guarantees our success!

Congratulations Shane! This is long overdue, I already know you are an excellent project manager, leader and friend. I look forward to your next exciting project.
Shane, your website is great! Knowing you have our backs in the big scary internet world is a great thing. I look forward to working with you and I build my own venture!
